The University Libraries do not charge patrons to use the interlibrary loan service. The Ekstrom Library participate in a number of resource sharing agreements with other libraries, and utilizes these libraries first for obtaining articles and loans for free.

However, not all materials are available for free through interlibrary loan. The Ekstrom Library will pay the first $20 toward an interlibrary loan item. In the event an item costs more than $20 the patron will be notified with the opportunity to cover the additional costs.

For Ekstrom Library Patrons if your ILL items are overdue by a month, a non-refundable $25 overdue fee will be applied to your account per item. If we receive overdue or replacement charges from the lending library for items in your possession, you are responsible for paying these fees in addition to the $25 nonrefundable fee.
